Snicker Salad

Snicker Salad

Snicker Salad is an old recipe in our family. Someone always makes it for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, and it’s a favorite for a good reason. Who doesn’t love it when Cool Whip and pudding and Snicker bars are called a salad? It’s cheap, easy to make, and absolutely delicious!

I like to halve this recipe when I’m making it for 3-4 people. The halved version is below.

What You’ll Need:

1 3oz. package of vanilla pudding

½ cup milk

1 6in. container of Cool Whip

3 apples

3 Snicker bars

What To Do:

  1. Core and cube each apple. Cut the Snicker bars into small chunks. You’ll get little chocolate crumbs and chunks when you cut the snickers – set those aside with about a Tablespoon of the bigger chunks for a garnish later.
  1. In a separate bowl, stir together the pudding, milk, and Cool Whip. Make sure you stir well – I had pudding forming at the bottom of my bowl last time!
  1. Add the apples and snickers to the Cool Whip mix and stir together.
  1. Garnish the salad with the leftover Snickers crumbs and chunks. Note: I like to save this step for just before I serve the salad. The crumbles can get lost in the salad if you put them on too early or cover the salad with plastic wrap.

Doesn’t it look delicious?!? I’ve heard of other people including a quarter cup halved grapes too, so I’m sure there are variations out there. What are your favorite fruit salads? I’d love to hear about them!
